More piglets weaned: everyone knows that the greatest losses during the suckling period generally occur during the first weeks after birth, and may total up to 15-20% of piglets born alive. 60% of this mortality derives from overcrowding of piglets around the teats, leading to a shortage of food. Receiving little or no milk from the sow, piglets born with low energy reserves suffer hypoglycaemia virtually immediately, and die within a very few days.
Since FLUISTART is liquid and contains immediately absorbed, easily digested nutrients, it can be used by those piglets with little or no mothers milk at their disposal from their very first days of life. Early weaning at 18-21 days: the main obstacle to early weaning (before the 3rd week) is the great difficulty piglets have in adapting quickly to a dry feed (meal or pellets). This is because of the immense difference between sows milk, which is not only liquid but also has a low energy content (1130 kcal/litre) and conventional weaning feeds, which are dry and have high energy content (3500-3800 kcal/kg). FLUISTART allows early weaning to be carried out extremely gradually from a dietary point of view. Weaning without antibiotics in the feed: the rapid change in diet (from sows milk to dry feed) on weaning is the main cause of the appearance of transient hypersensitivity to antigens found in foods, often responsible for weaning disorders. Consequently, medication has to be added to the weaning feed to prevent the occurrence of gastrointestinal infections. For the reasons explained above, the use of FLUISTART during the first few days after weaning means that antibiotics are no longer required in this critical period of the piglets life. Heavier piglets of more uniform size on weaning: the practical result of the use of FLUISTART in suckling piglets is just the same as an increase in the sows milk production capability. This effect is especially noticeable in large litters, when some piglets would be unable to feed at the sows teats. At the time of weaning, the litter is more uniform in size and heavier. FLUISTART has extremely low environmental impact: administration of a liquid feed allows the piglets digestive enzymes to permeate the material for digestion more effectively. Improved take-up of the dry matter is reflected with greater nitrogen retention. We all know that phosphorous occurs in plants in the form of phytates which the animals body is unable to use. Recent studies have shown that the phytase enzymes which occur naturally in the pericarp of some types of grain and certain seeds are activated if the ingredients are in a liquid environment; this action allows the breakdown of the phytate-phosphorus complex, enabling better take-up of the phosphorus by the piglet. The use of FLUISTART allows the reduction of the level of nitrogen and phosphorus in excrement; these are the main nutrients responsible for the damaging phenomenon of the eutrophication of bodies of water. |

SUCKLING
From the 13th day FLUISTART it can be administered to gether with SUISPECIAL, in the same bowl, to gradually prepares piglets to a dry feed. FLUISTART have no contraindications to systematically using thr product until weaning. WEANING During weaning, FLUISTART can be used for a few days on its own or mixed with SUISPECIAL in order to allow the recovery of weakened or underweight piglets. Administration of FLUISTART must start on the day of weaning, at the rate of 0.400-0.500 litres per piglet per day. On contact with the outside environment, FLUISTART remains stable for 2-3 days. Stir before use. Keep away from direct sources of light and heat. FLUISTART is available in 25-10 litre plastic containers. The producer reserves the right to modify the formula of the product in response to new findings of scientific research.
